I taught English at high schools for many years, and also I have been actively involved in international exchange activities for over 25 years.
I met many foreign people, including ALTs (assistant language teachers on the Japan English Teaching program sponsored by MEXT) and those who participated in the homestay programs, and showed them around the Setouchi Area.

Self-PR (details)
I was born and brought up in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. I taught English at high schools for many years, and also I have been actively involved in the international exchange activities. In order to help foreign people I met to appreciate my country and my culture, I have volunteered to show them around sightseeing places in Kagawa, explaining Japanese history, culture and customs. I have truly enjoyed the interactions with them.
I am interested in nature and the cultural aspects such as history, art and traditional cultures. In particular, the Japanese tea culture is fascinating, so I’ll be happy to teach some basics of Japanese tea ceremony to foreigners who’d like to appreciate it. Besides explaining historical and cultural backgrounds of the places they visit, I’d like to share with them anecdotes or information only local people know.
I belong to Kagawa SGG (Kagawa Systematized Goodwill Guide) to improve my guiding skills.
I look forward to meeting people who’d like to appreciate Japan and Japanese culture and to enjoy local hospitality and food as well as sightseeing with me.
